Event: Fashion Redeux

flyerI had the pleasure of attending the first annual Fashion Redeux at the end of September hosted by Made in the District and Haute Haus Agency at Studio 52 (52 O Street NW).  It was billed as “a sexy ultra-chic original fashion preview – honoring sports stars, media personalities, fashionistas, entrepreneurs and celebrities that live in the Washington area – showcasing designs from 2014 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week collections” so it sounded promising. familiar facesWhen I arrived (on time as I sometimes do), the doors were not yet open but I was lucky enough to run into some familiar faces like Stephanie Anderson of SLA Management & Consulting and Joel Cas from What Do I Wear.

DSC08785Also chilling by the step and repeat was the first model of the night rocking some Stevie Boi shades and a two piece.  Definitely set the tone of what to expect inside.  Once the doors finally opened, the party seemed in full swing from the start.

DSC08797DJ Vicious was spinning some tunes and keeping the party hyped.DSC08795The Svedka and Vita Coco was flowing freely and definitely mixed together deliciously!DSC08794I also quickly noticed the dessert table deliciously enticing me!! But a passing food tray caught my eye before I could tear up the display!!Kitchen crayMeet Kitchen CRAY!!! The team from Kitchen CRAY lives in a world where “food is an artform and not just something that you eat”.  CRAY stand for Creative, Revolutionary, Artistic and Youthful. They believe that “food can bring us as people together, no matter what your background is” and I agree.  They make AMAZING food that taste as delicious as it is beautiful to look at.  I am a bit of a fan if you can’t tell and you will see more about them soon!! But I digress…DSC08802In tribute to the Fashions of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, local artists replicated couture designs by artistically painting them onto nude bodies. They were rocking some killer shade by Stevie Boi who I had the honor to meet and try on some of his epic shades!Stevie BoiIt was definitely very cool to meet him and see his products! It was also great to see some of DC’s Most Stylish List according to Fashion Redeux like Sunni from WPGC.SunniIt is always a pleasure to see Sunni at events, she is such a nice and fun person!!  It was also great to see another honoree Dannia Hakki of Moki Media.  To view full list of honorees visit http://www.fashionredeux.com/.  So on a final note, what did I wear you ask?head to toeI rocked a vintage peplum polka dot top that I picked up at an estate sale with an adorable leather and chain belt that I picked up at the Goodwill Gala combined with some Gap leggings and these adorable Shoemint booties that I am loving for fall!!
