About DCF

Welcome to DCFunemployment.  My name is Morgan and I am a native Washingtonian.  In this post Paris Hilton era, socialite has became a bit of a dirty word.  However by definition a socialite is a person who is well known in fashionable society and is fond of social activities and entertainment.  Like it or not, that’s me so these are the diaries of a reluctant socialite.  Follow me on my new site – AsItHappens.co to see some of the best that DC has to offer.

It all started when I returned home after obtaining my master’s degree from WVU with lots to do socially and no job yet.  Thus a blog was born.  During the time I have been doing this I went from Unemployed to Overemployed (5 jobs) to brief Steady Employment to Traveling Employment to Funemployed (blogging, bartending and working with youth) and it has been quite a journey.  I love going out to eat, shopping (when I can afford it), dancing (usually to the beat of my own drummer), making new friends (sometimes) and trying new things!! (and now sharing them… no one’s saying you should care, people just keep telling me I’m funny).

This blog is changing and will now be a platform for women (and possibly the occasionally man) who are doing what they loved!! It is a place for empowerment and encouragement because I believe that we can all win, that we can all shine and that we can all do great things.  Especially together!!

I believe in living life to the fullest and taking advantage of every opportunity that you can.  I also believe in balance and I think it is important to have a fulfilling and meaningful life that you can look back on with no regrets and that is how I plan to live.  This is part of my balance! My giving back to a world that has given me so much already so thank you for coming to check it out and support!
