So last saturday my birthday…

Yep, one week ago, I turned 25 (*cough again cough)… So far the birthday month has been kind of a dud.  I got my car towed the Friday before taking too long picking up a friend and had to walk a couple blocks in my PJs with no coat (it was in the car) and flip flops to get it back.  Over $100 to remove my car from an empty lot.  Sometimes I wonder if people buy these lots just to make parking traps.  No one is EVER parked there, it’s basically just a tow trap.  About a week before that, I had to replace the brakes in my car cause they were making a God awful noise.  It was definitely overpriced especially considering that I am currently unemployed.  Then to really add salt to the wound, the night of the Pacquiao fight (Nov 14th), my car was rear ended!!! The car was hit so hard that the drivers side door would not open.  I had to head to Chicago because a couple months ago I had some issues with DC DMV which I am still trying to sort out (gotta love the DMV – more on them later).  I figured I could get it fixed while I was out of town.  I was wrong. While I was there I got the call that my car is totaled because of the extensive body damage.  So now I’m debating if I even need a car considering that the DMV and I are at war. So we shall see what happens next with that…

As for my birthday… I got lots of calls and texts from the DC crew but since I wasn’t there celebrations had to be delayed.  Unfortunately the Chicago edition of my birthday started off rough.  The guy that I am dating there totally dropped the ball… but he picked it back up later so I won’t put him on blast but basically I hope that this is not the start of future bad birthdays…

I’m a year older… and I’m already over it…
