I am the creator of this site, The Funemployment interview series (which is also coming back!!), As It Happens and many other content projects and partnerships (Shoutout to We The People DC and Smudge Wellness). When I am not creating content, I am a curation strategist. What does that mean you ask?? It means that I have a very particarlarly set of skills. Skills that make me a delight for people like you. A few years ago I took the Gallup Clifton Strengths test and my results put language to some of what I am great at in a new way. My strengths are adaptability, strategic, ideation, empathy, and input. Let’s break it down!
Adaptability: Being adaptable means that I am very good at going with the flow. This especially makes me great as day of event support because no matter what comes up, I am ready with a solution that allows the day to run as planned. Planning is still essential but I address the unplanned, the life that happens in between the plan and often cannot be ignored. I am an excellent problem solver and a former girl scout who finds myself always prepared and leaving everywhere I go better than I found it.

Stategic: Being stategic enables me to see everything, everywhere all at once. I love wondering about what ifs and figuring out every possible scenario to figure out the one that is going to work. I used to play goalie in soccer and it was the best place to see and analyze the whole playing field. As I child, I constantly asked “What if” and I often still do until I find the right course of action.
Ideation: I LOVE ideas. I probably ignore more great ideas then some people will ever have because my mind is constantly turning and churning with ideas and concepts. I love understanding how thing work. Ideas are also connections and as humans we are wired to connect. Some call us creatives, originals, conceptual and smart and I’d say those concepts fit.

Empathy: I can sense the emotions of the people around me as if they are my own. I am very good at putting myself in other people’s shoes and seeing their perspective, and sometimes to the annoyance of the people around me, sharing it. It’s not about condoning the choices but I usually understand them. I can often anticipate people’s questions and needs. I am an excellent translator for other’s emotions.
Input: I have always been curious and a collector of things and information (my mom sometimes worries I’ll become a horder one day). I collect the things that interest me and I just so happen to find a lot of things interesting, especially information. I love reading, discussing and exploring which gives me rich and robust reference points.
All these skills come together to make me very good at what I do which is help people. I know just enough about everything to be a little dangerous. I can help just about anyone and in the occastion that it’s something I do not know how to do, I know who to connect you to in order to get it done. I have a roladex that is unmatched and am excellent at helping people create, activate and execute. I am also an excellent motivator and am great at helping people elevate in body, mind and spirit. So if you need a storyteller, a connector, a yogi, a teacher, a motivator, a coach or a place to start – hire me!! I’m expensive but worth it because you are worth it.

I am a strategist whose work sits at the intersection of people, experiences, storytelling, events, brands and business to help people develop their dreams and turn them into reality! I have been giving talks for over 20 years through opportunities both domestic and abroad. I work with a varity of brands and have a few of my own and I look forward to work with you!!
